snippy has a new name! The judge at the county courthouse gave her official okey-dokey to the change this morning. I asked snippy, "So, does this mean you're my second wife now? I was married to snippy, but now I'm married to snippy."
But no. She's still my one and only. Which is just as well.
God, apparently, is really pissed off at Florida right now. Our special Florida correspondent,amand_r, reports that it's like bowling. One hurricane up the left side, one up the right side, and now Ivan comes rolling right up the middle. And she's on dial-up currently. I would mock her for being reduced to such a lowly state, but then the gods of Irony would undoubtedly smite me with the same affliction. So I won't.
I downloaded an 800 (EIGHT HUNDRED!!!) MB mod for Battlefield 1942 last night. It's called "Battlegroup42" and it's--according to what I've read--a more realistic but still playable mod of the original game. For one thing, the planes have been made less powerful. Pilots who know what they're doing can often dominate a map to the exclusion of all else, pwning everyone and everything in sight in vanilla BF42. Of course, having done so, and installed it, I can't find any servers actually running it at the moment. *sigh*
Ah well, the kinda-sorta BF1942 clan I belong to (known there as [AGB] Bullet Sponge for my amazing ability to get killed over and over again) runs mods on their servers periodically. I'll just have to wait for it to come up in the rotation.
