Another thirty minutes of aerobic activity.  Go me!  I'm bursting--bursting, I say!--with health!  You can see it oozing out of my skin!

It also did wonders for my mood.  I was feeling a little depressed when I got home tonight.  The last thing I wanted to do was go running.  I knew, however, that going running was the best thing for me.  It always elevates my mood and blows the cobwebs out of my brain.  By the time I reach the end of my 5k run, I'm not worrying about work any longer.

That's a good thing to remember.

Did I run (yesterday)?  Yes.  Did I enjoy it?  No.  Did I run the entire way?  Sadly, no.  I slowed to a walk several times for 30-45 seconds at a time.  Tsk tsk.

I didn't really want to run yesterday, but I hadn't run over the weekend, so I needed to get in a third session for the first week (which starts on Wednesday for these purposes).

I didn't feel like running, but I did anyhow.  In fact, I ran too fast at first.  When I reached what is usually about the halfway point for my runs, I was four minutes ahead of time.  Which is great...except that it means I started running out of steam shortly thereafter.  I've run into this before--if I don't pace myself early on when I'm fresh, I can do my reenactment of the Tortoise & the Hare.

But the important thing is that I did get out there and do it.
