This sucks like a Hoover!

I'm sick. Oneson generously shared his cold with us when he was here visiting this past long weekend. Yesterday I had a dry, scratchy throat; today it's a fullblown cold. Sinus headache, dry, painful throat (hurts to swallow, hurts when I don't swallow), chills, weakness. It's swell.

And today is the first day of my long holiday, too. I took today off, then there's Christmas and the Friday after (both holidays at work), the weekend, then three more days off, New Year's Day. And I'll be sick for most of it. Can I just repeat how very much this SUCKS!?

(sigh)

Well, with any luck, the worst of it will be over before my vacation ends.

Nah...I think I'll just sit around popping Advil every four hours, 12-hour Sudafed every 12 hours, and gargling saltwater periodically.

And, of course, sticking pins in my Oneson voodoo doll.

Don't do that--we might have to rush to the emergency room...in EUGENE. Which is NOT how I want to spend the weekend!
