sinanju1. Do you watch sports? If so, which ones?
Nothing I watch regularly. Football, basketball, hockey, etc. all bore me to tears. I've occasionally watched some baseball (just in passing, never a whole game). I'll generally stop channel surfing to watch tennis, gymnastics, ski jumping, and so forth. There's a pattern here: team sports bore me--but individual sports are sometimes interesting.
What/who are your favorite sports, teams and/or athletes?
I used to root for Martina Navratilova when she still played tennis. Otherwise, I can't think of any athletes I particularly favor. No favorite teams or sports.
Are there any sports you hate?
Hate is a bit strong. I find football, basketball and most other team ballgames inexpressibly boring and mostly stupid.
Have you ever been to a sports event?
High school football games (it was a small town and little else to do, and at least my schoolmates were there). The Pendleton Roundup (rodeo) once.
Do/did you play any sports (in school or other)? How long did you play?
I was on the high school track team one year. I sucked, but I was out there. Otherwise, my only serious "sport" was a little over a year of Karate classes in college. Again, I'd always hated team sports, but this was something I could do alone, and when I sparred it was only me and the other guy.
