My old computer desk (now squirreled away in the garage until it can be sold/given away. It was large, as you can see. A set of round-ended shelves on the right end, a large cabinet and drawer on the left side. A pull-out keyboard tray and a monitor stand. I didn't actually use the monitor stand--it puts the monitor right beneath the thermostat mounted on the wall above, which tended to screw up the heating of the house (when the monitor is on it throws off heat, when it shuts down it doesn't; so just setting thermostat higher didn't work).
( My old desk, cut for the conveniece of those poor souls with dial-up. )
My new (temporary) computer desk, until I can get the rest of the shelves from IKEA and assemble the standing desk I bought. This is an old writing desk that belonged to my grandmother. I'm using the drawer in the front as a keyboard tray. Even with the rolling plastic drawer stand to the right it has a considerably smaller footprint than the old desk.
( Ditto. Get with the program, whydoncha? It's 2007! )
