Planetside sucks

sinanjuTwoson bought the online game Planetside while he was visiting his dad. When he came home, I installed it on my computer now that we have a cable modem. He seems to enjoy it a great deal. I've created a couple of characters and tried it out myself. Let me just say Planetside fucking sucks!
The first few times I played around with it, I created a new character each time, spent some time in the virtual reality training area trying out weapons or practicing with vehicles, then tried to find some action. There never was any to be found--probably because I don't go on til late, and there are a lot fewer players online.
So this afternoon I tried again. There are lots of players. And lots of goddamned LAG. I've gotten my ass shot off repeatedly by opposing players, mostly while I'm standing there with my thumb up my virtual ass (i.e., lag leaves me standing there unable to move or see anything except whatever happened to be directly in front of me at the moment the lag hit). Not to mention that even when it's not lagging, the controls are so jerky that I can't aim my point-of-view (to say nothing of a weapon) for shit. I've been repeatedly killed by bad guys I never saw, and never did see. Or I saw them, but couldn't do anything about it--that fucking lag again--before they turned me into hamburger.
I'm not a patient man, and I HATE THIS FUCKING GAME!
