Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!?

Still working on getting a story done this week. I've written several thousand words, but so far a lot of it--most of it?--probably won't make it into the finished story. I'm having trouble pinning down exactly where the story is going. Still, I'll continue typing away and eventually I'll find the groove I'm groping for and get it finished.

In other news, it's still blazingly hot 'round here. It was 105 on our back porch today. Might've been hotter at some point, but that's the highest reading we saw. The air conditioners continue to be minimally effective. Will be glad when the heat breaks this weekend.

In still OTHER other news, I had dinner tonight with starborn_scribe (aka tenaciousnancy). She and her boytoy boyfriend are here in Portland while she attends a conference. snippy (aka snippy) and I had dinner with them, thereby promoting tenanciousnancy from Imaginary Friend--someone I knew only online--to a Real Friend.

It's nearly midnight. Time to go lie down in the air conditioned bedroom (where it's actually cool) and get some sleep. Tomorrow: more writing!
