Mid-Week Report

sinanjuI've finally finished "Bound by Convention." The first draft, anyhow. I am, as always, ambivalent about it. In some ways I think it's good; in others, I think it's a failure. Ah well. That's for an editor to tell me. I think I'll let it sit for a day or two before I go back to edit it and put it into proper manuscript format for email submission on Friday. Saturday at the latest.
That will make it my first completed and "mailed" story for July. Which leaves me only a week and a half behind on my goal of a story a week. Nonetheless, I'm pleased to have finished something again. After a couple of weeks of flailing aimlessly, reaching the finish line is good. Tomorrow I need to start on the next one. Whatever it turns out to be.
