Smallville update
Apr. 26th, 2007 11:46 pmChloe: as cute as ever. Not that she got a lot of screen time this week.
Lana: Hey, I actually liked Lana this week. She showed some backbone for a change.
Threatening Lionel. Snatching Lex's briefcase away from the cops ("That's part of the crime scene. We have to take that," says the cop. "Of course," Lana says, "as soon as you show me the warrant to search my husband's car," says Lana. Good point, girl. Lex was trapped underground in some tunnels when the wacko du jour blew up the entrance. His car had nothing to do with anything that happened. I doubt cops would really back down as quickly as they did here, but I like it that she made the play. And she is Mrs. Lex Luthor now, so maybe they would around Smallville.)
Then she took the briefcase home, grabbed a pistol and shot the locks off so she could search it. And it turns out that she's been spying on Lex (turnabout is fair play in her book, apparently). Then later, still more threatening of Lionel Luthor, who congratulated her on becoming a real Luthor.
Yeah, that. This is a Lana I could actually enjoy watching. If Lana actually steps up and becomes a player in her own life instead of a passive spectator/victim, I'd enjoy that a lot. So it probably won't last. But it was fun to see tonight.
