Morbo has something to say to the Puny News Directors of all Puny TV Stations!

Do not, if you value your puny human lives, do NOT infest Morbo's favorite television programs with endless news crawls reporting the latest incomplete results of numerous races about which Morbo knows little and cares less!  If Morbo wishes to know the results from minute to minute, Morbo can find that information in many places.

If Morbo chooses instead to watch, for example, Gilmore girls, Standoff, House or Veronica Mars, Morbo will wax exceedingly wrathful if his viewing pleasure is diminished by having the screen obscured--more than it already is, may the advertising departments of every network rot in Hell!--with election returns.

The only thing that could cause Morbo to become even angrier is if the picture is reduced in size to accommodate even larger election returns.

Do not risk the Wrath of Morbo, Puny Humans.  You have been warned!

Wouldn't it be nice if there were a separate news crawl band - like the closed captioning band - that one could turn off and on at will? The returns junkies could get their fix, and those who'd rather relax with a good TV show, secure in the knowledge that it won't make one iota of difference if you read the results now or after a good night's sleep...

Especially because with TIVO, I won't even watch those shows until tomorrow, at which point the election crawl under them will be old news.
