Everyone hates a rules lawyer. But being a rules lawyer is hard work. It's a thankless job that requires dedication and enthusiasm. Sometimes I look at rules lawyers of my acquaintance and think, if they'd put as much work into learning the intricacies of the legal system as they have into mastering, say, Star Fleet Battles or--God help us--Advanced Squad Leader, they could be pulling down six figure salaries
