I know this because I was listening to Paul Harvey on the radio just now. Well, I was kinda-sorta listening with half my attention. I heard him say something about a proposal (a bill?) that would require you to watch the previews before a movie on video/DVD. I didn't catch the precise details.
So I momentarily contemplated rewinding the story to listen again.
Then I remembered that I'm listening to the radio. There is no rewind. But it was a good indicator of just how thoroughly
snippy and I have adapted to the convenience of TiVo's recording and replay possibilities.
P.S. Paul is showing his age. He commented that it was a silly idea unless they were going to have spies peering thru your living room window. No--all they need to do is disallow fast-forwarding thru the previews, just like they do with the FBI warning and so forth now.
