snippy got a call at work this morning. Her mother has died. She called me from her cellphone while her boss was driving her to the hospice to deal with things. It's going to be rough for a while now--she'll be grieving--but now she'll be able to start grieving. No more waiting.
Update: I was wrong. More waiting. It was the "come now" phone call. It seems all but certain that she will die sometime today, but it hasn't happened yet.
Update Again: She's gone. My sweetie is going to be grieving for a while, but at least the uncertainty and waiting is over.
