Still painting

Today I touched up the ceiling paint (until it dries it's difficult to see the spots I've missed) from yesterday, pulled down the tape along the top of the walls, retaped along the edges of the ceiling, primed the two walls that had paint samples on them, and painted the first coat on the other two walls.

I didn't drive snippy to work this morning as I did Monday and Tuesday.  She let me sleep in this morning, but as it happened I spent about an hour half-asleep with my mind busily contemplating all the painting chores ahead of me.  (Damned work ethic--I can't even enjoy a lazy morning off without my conscience poking me.)

Superman Returns opens today.  I really want to see that.  I'd even like to try to see it tonight, but I doubt that'll happen.  But sometime this week (or weekend) for sure!

And as the icon suggests, I got an emailed comment on my journal today.  Someone nominated one of my stories for a crossover fic award.  Yay me!  No money.  No fame--except in the tiny community of fanfic readers who even know LJ exists, but--hey, it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!
