Week One, Day Three
Mar. 7th, 2006 07:58 pmDid I run (yesterday)? Yes. Did I enjoy it? No. Did I run the entire way? Sadly, no. I slowed to a walk several times for 30-45 seconds at a time. Tsk tsk.
I didn't really want to run yesterday, but I hadn't run over the weekend, so I needed to get in a third session for the first week (which starts on Wednesday for these purposes).
I didn't feel like running, but I did anyhow. In fact, I ran too fast at first. When I reached what is usually about the halfway point for my runs, I was four minutes ahead of time. Which is great...except that it means I started running out of steam shortly thereafter. I've run into this before--if I don't pace myself early on when I'm fresh, I can do my reenactment of the Tortoise & the Hare.
But the important thing is that I did get out there and do it.
