Another good day of writing. I wrote 5,080 words on the novel. Go me! I hit 4,255 during the day before my brain started feeling wrung out. So I stopped for the day. Except that I really wanted to break 5,000 words again. So I just spent a little while continuing the scene I'd been writing when I stopped. (I try to always stop on a cliffhanger, or at least in mid-scene, so it's easier to pick up the thread again the next day.)

I'm very pleased with my progress on the novel so far.

In other news, "Home Invasion" was rejected today by Ellery Queen. That makes two stories that have come back to me and I haven't yet sent out again. It's only been two days on the one, and just today on this one. But tomorrow I really need to get them back in the mail.
