Changing Up A Bit

Today rather than try to write first thing, I took care of some tasks that were preying on my mind first.

* I banked a check for my severance agreement (yay! money!).
* Called the unemployment folks to ask a question about self-employment (does it change anything? answer: as long as it doesn't interfere with my looking for work, no).
* Made some contacts with former co-workers from United Way (who have also moved on previously) on a business networking site, to spread the word that I'm available.
* Sent my resume off to several folks.
* Wrote a check for the "Kris & Dean Show" writers workshop in September.

So, with all of that taken care of, my anxiety was eased considerably. Which made writing this afternoon easier. There may be a lesson in that. Maybe writing in the afternoon will work better as a rule. I'm still working that out.
