I just flew in from Jamaica...
Feb. 28th, 2004 01:19 am"...and boy are my arms tired!"
Bwah-hah-hah-hah. I kill me.
It's late. I'm tired. Jamaica was swell.
"Did you just say 'swell'? You know, Clark, there aren't a lot of people who feel...comfortable using that word."
"Really? I've always thought it felt pretty natural."
I'll be posting at length about the trip. Eventually.
But first there will be sleeping. Hours and hours of sleeping.
But first, there will be a quick overview.
Jamaica: wonderful. Hot bright sun, bright beaches, warm seas, lots of natural beauty (of the landscape variety as well as the bikini-clad sort). I can now claim with pride to have added the island nation of Jamaica to the list of nations in which I have had carnal knowledge of my blushing bride. Heh heh.
The twelve-hour travel days to get to and from Jamaica: horrific. Portland to Dallas/Forth Worth to Miami to Montego Bay, plus a 1.5 hour bus ride to Negril. And then reverse that on the way home. Aaargh!
Going through Customs and Immigration on the way into Jamaica and then back into the USA: the tenth circle of hell, baby! I swore a dark oath to even darker gods that I would never, ever travel abroad again if that is the price of doing so.
But...Jamaica was really nice.
