A Nice Evening
Oct. 13th, 2003 11:59 pmAfter stopping by Safeway on the way home from work to pick up dinner and a few groceries,
snippy and I got home, fed Twoson his teriyaki chicken and fried rice (from the deli at the store), put our dinner in the oven, changed clothes and went downstairs to do an abbreviated workout.
We ate dinner, put Twoson to bed, and then settled down on the sofa to watch Everwood. We've gotten out of the habit of doing that. I tend to sit at my computer all evening, netsurfing, reading, playing games.
snippy spends time in her Fortress of Solitude doing likewise. When we're happy and healthy and things are going well, that's fine. When we're experiencing stress, we need that time together to cuddle and connect--but we're out of the habit.
So we're making a habit of it again. We'll do the same tomorrow night, watching Gilmore girls, and again on Wednesday to watch Smallville. It's very nice to sit and cuddle with my sweetie...once I can tear myself away from the computer.
