Weekend Update
Apr. 11th, 2010 11:20 pmNo writing done this weekend. Spent Saturday driving down to and back from Eugene to be there for the grandchild's third birthday. It was nice to see the birthday boy, and his six month-old sister, but it was a long round trip for a couple of hours of fun.
Today was chores & recreation day. Laundry, shopping, and spending lots of time with my lovely and talented wife watching a marathon of BONES via Netflix streaming video. I've been the watching the show all along, but she only recently discovered that it was a fun show to watch, so we're catching her up on the previous seasons.
I just finished printing out manuscripts, and SASEs and mailing envelopes and labels (both mailing and return address), and assembling them all into three packets. Two short stories and another submission package for my novel* (this one to Silhouette, 'cause why not?) It's a paranormal romance...of a sort. Maybe not enough of a romance, but NO PRE-QUALIFYING. I'll let THEM decide that. Who knows? They might say yes.
Tomorrow, back to writing on the novel. I hope to have mor 5,000+ word days.
*I don't think I mentioned that Random House bounced it this week. It goes back out tomorrow morning.
